At Intend, we have a fantastic team, with each role handling a particular part of the egg donation process. We work together to bring all of the moving pieces together smoothly, and make the egg donation process possible.
Here is a breakdown of the different people you may work with at Intend and what each of them do.
Donor Coordinators
Donor Coordinators are in charge of processing donor applications, following up with qualified applicants, and walking them through our pre-screening process. One of the things that sets our agency apart from others, is how heavily we pre-screen our donors. We want to make sure that by the time the donor makes it onto our database, she is already a good candidate for egg donation and won’t be automatically disqualified when she is sent to the clinic.
Donor Coordinators interview the donors to ensure that they are a good fit for our database, and that they fully understand what the egg donation process entails. They make sure that donors have proper support at home for becoming a donor, and they review the donor’s questionnaire and lab results to make sure everything looks good. Once a donor is deemed ready to go onto the database, the Donor Coordinators upload their profile along with the donor’s best photos.
Donor Coordinators are in charge of keeping in touch with donors as they are on the database, and updating their information if it changes. They also work with Match Coordinators to communicate with the donor if the donor gets interest from intended parents and/or is matched.
Match Coordinators
Match Coordinators are the initial point of contact for intended parents who come to our agency interested in finding an egg donor. Match Coordinators have 101 meetings with new families, walking them through the egg donation process and talking about our company and database.
After the 101 meeting, Match Coordinators communicate with intended parents on the donors that they are interested in and provide more information on those donors. Once an intended family has chosen a donor, Match Coordinators work with Donor Coordinators to reach out to that donor and confirm her availability for the match.
Match Coordinators are in charge of then sending paperwork to the intended parents and to the donor to make the match official.
Case Managers
Case Managers handle the egg donation process from after the match is official, all the way through the retrieval. Case Managers are the main point of contact for the donor and the intended parents, as they move through the donation process.
Case Managers start the match by sending the donor’s paperwork and records to the clinic. They help set up the donor’s required screening, including the psychological evaluation, family history counseling session, and initial office visit. Case Managers book all travel for the donor, including flights, hotels, and ground transportation. They also help facilitate between the donor’s attorney and the intended family’s attorney.
During the week of medication and retrieval, Case Managers are in contact with the donor and the clinic to ensure that everything goes smoothly. They follow up with the donor post-retrieval to make sure she is doing well and to confirm that she and her support person get home.
Marketing
Marketing is in charge of running our agency’s social media pages, posting fun and informational content on our Instagram and TikTok. It is Marketing’s big job to help recruit new donors by running ads, posting content, and sending out email campaigns. Marketing helps maintain the company website and uploads new blog posts weekly, with educational information for donors and intended parents.
Marketing also helps out at in-person events to get our name out there to intended families, including conferences like Men Having Babies.
Executive Director
Our Executive Director, Michael Chally, oversees the entire company. He manages the Intend team and helps ensure that everything is running smoothly. Michael helps out in every area from conducting 101 meetings, to speaking with intended families during the donation process, to running ads.
